Bailey House

Bailey House is a “home away from home” at 119 & 121 Washington Street (two blocks from Harrisburg Hospital), which provides a convenient place for families from outside the immediate Harrisburg area to reside while their seriously ill loved one is hospitalized.

The 24-hour-a-day facility provides lodging, shared bath, common area with television and telephone, linens and refreshments. A house parent is on duty to supervise its operation as well as offer information and assistance to the patient's family. Guests stay at Bailey House for free. Space is limited; call (717) 232-2721 for more information.


Our History

Established in December 1987, Bailey House is named in honor of Mrs. Charles L. Bailey who served as the first president of the Harrisburg Hospital Auxiliary. Since its opening, more than 6,000 guests have been assisted by Bailey House.
 

Contributions

Bailey House is a service of the PinnacleHealth Auxiliary. Donations to underwrite the cost of Bailey House are gladly accepted. Donations can be made payable to PinnacleHealth Auxiliary and sent to PO Box 8700, Harrisburg, PA, 17105-8700.
