Study Purpose
Structural Heart Trials
SURTAVI - Principal Investigators –Mubashir Mumtaz, MD and William Bachinsky, MD

The purpose is to determine if replacing the aortic valve without open heart surgery is as safe as or safer than open heart surgery in patients with similar medical conditions. For more information about this trial, click here.

Medtronic Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in Low Risk Patients - Principal Investigators - Mubashir Mumtaz, MD and Hemal Gada, MD
The study objective is to demonstrate that the safety and effectiveness of the Medtronic TAVR system as measured by rates of all-cause mortality or disabling stroke at two years is noninferior to SAVR in the treatment of severe aortic stenosis in subjects who have a low predicted risk of operative mortality for SAVR. Medtronic CoreValve Evolut R U.S. Clinical Study (Evolut 34R Addendum) - Principal Investigator- Mubashir Mumtaz, MD and William Bachinsky, MD
The study objectives are to assess the safety and efficacy of the CoreValve Evolut 34R transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) system in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who are considered at high or extreme risk for surgical aortic valve replacement. Vascular and Peripheral Vascular
Endurant EVO US Clinical Trial – Principal Investigator – David Loran, MD

The purpose of this trial is to demonstrate the Endurant EVO AAA stent graft system is safe and effective for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). This system is intended to treat the AAA through a minimally invasive surgical procedure to prevent the aneurysm from growing and involves the placement of an expandable stent graft without opening the abdomen and operating directly on the aorta.
