Lead Poisoning Prevention & Outreach Program

Lead Poisoning Prevention & Outreach Program aims to create safe and healthy housing by addressing environmental health and safety issues.

Hazards such as dust mites, mold, mildew and lead paint can cause serious medical problems for children, senior citizens and asthma sufferers.

The goal of this program is to reduce hospital visits and prevent disease or injury that can result from a safety or health hazard in your home. Our team provides an array of services, including:

  • Assessing homes to look for possible hazards
  • Providing education and information to improve home safety
  • Coordinating follow-up medical care if unsafe health conditions are found
  • Working in the community to improve housing safety
  • Working with appropriate agencies to enforce existing regulations that address healthy housing issues
