What to expect during an office visit at Breast Health Associates
When you arrive in our office, you will see the receptionist, who will register and check you in. Upon check-in, a nurse will be notified that you have arrived. She will kindly escort you to an exam room. She will gather and/or update all necessary information in your electronic chart. She will also obtain your vital signs (which may include all of the following: Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respirations and temperature). Most of the time, you will be asked to change into a front-opening gown.
The nurse will notify the physician that you are here, and the physician will meet you in the exam room to assume your care. Once you and the physician have decided upon a screening or treatment plan, arrangements will be made to initiate that plan. For your convenience, we can assist you in scheduling further tests, surgery, and any follow-up appointments during your visit. Our goal is for you to leave our office with a plan in place - every time!
