Social Impact

A small gift from you can have a significant impact for everyday patient care. Often, our medical staff have service or equipment needs that fall outside of the established annual budget. This is where you can make a real difference.

Our Current Projects

We are currently fundraising for:

i-STAT

Annually, the PinnacleHealth Cardiovascular Institute (PHCVI) performs more than 700 cardiovascular interventional procedures. The PHCVI staff requested an i-STAT machine to aid them in providing more efficient care to their patients.

The i-STAT is a hand-held machine that is used during procedures to monitor blood thinners while stents, pacemakers or defibrillators are inserted into the heart. This technology provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes rather than hours – making it possible for physicians to make more timely treatment decisions. The i-STAT machine also securely integrates with electronic medical records so the patient’s test results are immediately accessible by our medical staff.

A gift of any size can make a significant impact on their ability to fill this need.

NICU Cribettes

The PinnacleHealth NICU is the area’s only Level III, high-volume NICU, providing advanced care to our tiniest patients. Our NICU provides life support and comprehensive medical and surgical care for high-risk newborns, including babies born as early as 23 weeks and those with complex and critical illness.

A cribette is a special crib used in the NICU for larger babies, or babies who will have a longer stay in the unit. A cribette allows the nurses to better support the babies with developmental equipment and toys as they grow and develop. Each NICU cribette costs $2,700.

One third of the approximately 400 babies who stayed in the NICU last year utilized the cribettes, and there is an ongoing need for more cribettes. A gift of any size can make a significant impact on their ability to fill this need.
