We are committed to assessing community needs and planning benefit programs for the purpose of improving the health of our communities.
Our goals are to:
Conduct an objective and comprehensive study of the overall health status of our region
Include input from individuals who represent the broad interests of the community served by the hospitals as well as those with special knowledge and expertise in public health
Present consistent findings to our physician providers, health and human service organizations, and communities we serve
Measure and report impact on target populations
Deliver a useful and valuable report to the public that creates a baseline for strategic planning decisions
The Community Health Needs Assessment includes the results of community interviews, surveys, focus groups, primary and secondary data analysis, and other research methodologies.
The results of the community health needs assessment are used to develop strategies to improve the effectiveness of community benefit programs, comply with federal tax exemption requirements in the Affordable Care Act, and, most importantly, improve the overall health of the community.
