A History of Service
Supporting PinnacleHealth and area residents through scholarships and education with roots that stretch back 125 years, the PinnacleHealth Auxiliary has a long history of supporting the needs of Central Pennsylvania residents.
Today, this unbroken commitment of service continues. Through events, the women and men of the Auxiliary volunteer their time to financially support various PinnacleHealth programs and services. Auxiliary members are devoted to furthering the system’s mission and helping to preserve the high-quality, compassionate care for which its hospitals and staff members are known.
Each year, the Auxiliary raises approximately $300,000 through the following activities:

Management of PinnacleHealth’s Gift Shops

Oversight of the Hidden Door Café and Kaleidoscope Kafé

Newborn photography services
In addition to raising funds for PinnacleHealth, the Auxiliary also provides scholarships for promising students pursing careers; educates local students through its annual Children’s Health Fair; and supports and operates the Bailey House – a “home away from home” for patients and families from outside the Harrisburg area.

Healthy Habits Book Launch
The PinnacleHealth Auxiliary is proud to announce that we have partnered with Capital BlueCross to underwrite Healthy Habits With or Without Diabetes, a children's book written by Floyd Stokes. Health Habits is an introduction to diabetes and how to manage it. With information and fun facts for children and their readers, it teaches healthy lifestyle choices that benefit everyone, with or without diabetes. The Auxiliary is proud to donate approximately 2,000 copies of Healthy Habits to local elementary schools and physician offices within the PinnacleHealth System. For more information about this endeavor please contact our office. Copies of the book are available for purchase in the hospital gift shops.

Thank you to all whom participated in the 16th Annual Club PHantastic Gala - Many Hands, One Mission. Join Hands with Us on April 13th at the Hilton Harrisburg. Pictured above is even co-chair Anita Rash, along with Julie Harris, Auxiliary President, presenting Mike Young, PinnacleHealth CEO, with a check for $150,000 to benefit children being served throughout PinnacleHealth System.
