Bone Density Testing (DXA) – a simple test to detect bone loss and osteoporosis that can be conveniently scheduled with your routine mammogram and to assist in planning your breast cancer treatment
Breast Biopsy– samples of breast tissue are removed with a special biopsy needle or during surgery in order to determine if the cells are normal or cancerous.
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
PinnacleHealth has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
By awarding facilities the status of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy). Learn more.
