Specialized Inpatient Care for Women of All Ages
Located on the eleventh floor of the hospital on the Harrisburg Campus, PinnacleHealth’s Women’s Inpatient Unit has 17 private rooms for female patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. This unique unit is available if you require hospitalization for:
- Gynecological surgery including robotic-assisted hysterectomies
- Gynecological-oncology surgery
- Breast surgery
- Fetal/maternal surveillance during high risk pregnancy
- Other medical conditions
You’ll receive highly specialized, individualized care from staff who understand the various emotional and psychosocial needs of female patients. Our comfortable accommodations include a place for your loved one to sleep in your room, Internet access for computers and a variety of supportive services including pet therapy.
Specialized Care for Antepartum Patients
If you are a high risk antepartum patient who requires extended hospitalization, you may be moved to our Antepartum Unit on the ninth floor. This unit features ten private rooms with a place for your loved one to sleep and fetal and maternal surveillance provided as ordered by your physician. An ultrasound room on the unit (ultrasound room will be moved to eight floor by the end of February) helps us monitor your baby’s development.
The health of you and your baby is our first priority, but we understand that you may require extra support during your extended stay. We offer a variety of services including:
- Counseling and education
- Pet therapy
- Arts and crafts
- Socials
- Computer use
- Special meals and snacks
