Therapists have the freedom to provide case management for their patients, yet still collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, nutritional counselors and personal care aides. Due to the specialized and independent nature of care, all clinicians complete an extensive orientation program. Clinicians benefit from available resources, including laptop computer-based documentation system and a wide variety of treatment supplies to enhance patient care. When possible, patients are assigned in geographic clusters, to improve the flow of the clinician's workday. Therapists achieve the satisfaction of being able to address patients' functional concerns in their home and community.
