Dear Colleagues and Friends of PinnacleHealth:

Our journey has been an exciting experience.  I am proud of all the work we have accomplished and the continued excellence we achieve each and every day.  The past year was a year for growth across the system and we would not be where we are today without the tireless efforts of our nursing staff.

Through structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, new knowledge, innovations, improvements, and transformational leadership, we have achieved many positive quality outcomes and several recognitions.  Our rates of falls, hospital acquired pressure ulcers, catheter-associated urinary tract and blood stream infection rates have decreased.  Patient satisfaction has improved across domains.  Our cardiac program received the top, three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.  PinnacleHealth ranked in US News Media & World Report 2011-12 Best Hospital Rankings, and we received five-star rating for maternity care from HealthGrades.

Our Magnet re-designation proves that PinnacleHealth nursing care is among the best in the nation and we will continue to provide quality care to all the people of central Pennsylvania.  As PinnacleHealth nurses, we are committed to the provision of excellent nursing care, professionalism and pride in our practice.
