Message from the Chief Nursing Officer

The Department of Nursing also has PROVEN that we continue raising the bar to define nursing excellence—challenging ourselves and others to improve the care we deliver to our patients.

Through our use of the Iowa Model, we encourage a spirit of inquiry that supports our nurses to engage in evidence-based practice (EBP) research and generate new knowledge.

There are nursing units embracing technology, which has given the nurses more time to deliver personal care to their patients and families, as well as nursing units encouraging more family involvement from the first portal of entry to the time of discharge, further improving the continuum of care.

From our
nursing councils and career development pathway to our continuing education programs, our goal is to work collaboratively with one another and our patients ensuring mutual respect and overall success.

In every life we touch and every day we serve, nurses have PROVEN their commitment to quality care, transformation and growth. I am proud to be a PinnacleHealth nurse!
