The event was created to provide preventative health education at an early and important age and originated at a time when health curriculums were not taught in schools. It has grown to reach close to 1,200 children who attend half-day sessions on the first Thursday in May.
In the span of 150 minutes, students rotate through 10 health and safety stations spending about eight minutes at each station.
This event takes place with the assistance of Auxiliary volunteers, students from Central Pennsylvania College, local high schools, local community organizations, as well as PinnacleHealth staff. Over 100 volunteers help us coordinate the day.
