A History of Service
Supporting PinnacleHealth and Area Residents through Fundraising, Scholarships, and Education with roots that stretch back more than 120 years, the PinnacleHealth Auxiliary has a long history of supporting the healthcare needs of Central Pennsylvania residents.
Today, this unbroken commitment of service continues. Through fundraising events, the women and men of the Auxiliary volunteer their time to financially support various PinnacleHealth programs and services. Auxiliary members are devoted to furthering the system’s mission and helping to preserve the high-quality, compassionate care for which its hospitals and staff members are known.
Each year, the Auxiliary raises approximately $300,000 through the following activities:
- Signature fundraising events (link to events page)
- Management of PinnacleHealth’s gift shops
- Oversight of the Hidden Door Café and Kaleidoscope Kafé
- Newborn photography services
In addition to raising funds for PinnacleHealth, the Auxiliary also provides scholarships for promising students pursing healthcare careers; educates local students through its annual Children’s Health Fair; and supports and operates the Bailey House – a “home away from home” for patients and families from outside the Harrisburg area.
