Casual Conversations Lead to Generous Donation to Bailey House
As a result of our Bailey House manager, Beverly Bosak, reaching out to a friend and former classmate over coffee and conversations at AGIA Sophia Coffeehouse & Bookstore and discussing Bailey House and the needs of our patients’ loved ones Orthodox Christian Charities of Greater Harrisburg, Inc. chose Bailey House as its monthly charity. They made a very generous contribution to our home-away- from-home for the families of our patients confined to the Harrisburg Area.
We are extremely grateful to the Orthodox Christian Charities of Greater Harrisburg, Inc. as well as Barbara and her fellow community volunteer, Joanne Wevodau, for initiating the conversation. Agia Sophia is a non-profit coffeehouse and operates under the umbrella of the Orthodox Christian Charities of Greater Harrisburg, Inc. Please visit Agia Sophia’s website at http://www.agiasophiacoffeeshop.com
to learn more about its mission and charitable giving.
Never underestimate the power of “dropping a word” or two about our volunteer work and the needs and the accomplishments we as volunteers in the community are most proud of.
