Didactics and Education

The General Surgery Program is strongly dedicated to the educational enrichment of its residents and students. Weekly lectures/conferences are held focusing on didactic and clinical education. Education is resident run with a strong attending presence. 

Readings/topics are taken from various, widely-accepted General Surgery textbooks in preparation for the annual In-Service Test held each January. In addition to the surgery educational schedule, noon lectures are held daily by osteopathic physicians of various specialties including a monthly Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (O.M.T.) review lecture.
