Labor & Delivery

Main 8–Harrisburg Campus
This unit has 14 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms. Additionally, there is an eight-bed assessment center. The unit has the capability for low and high-risk obstetrical services. Approximately 4,700 obstetrical deliveries are performed annually in Labor and Delivery. Registered nurses use a Central Fetal Monitoring System and computerized documentation.

Required Experience: Graduate or Registered with a BSN

Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care/Level III

Main 8–Harrisburg Campus
This Level III, 32-bed unit provides services for all newborn infants who need critical or intermediate care. Patients hospitalized in this unit will require specialized nursing care with emphasis being placed on the premature infant, infants with respiratory distress syndrome, septic infants and surgical infants, excluding open heart and renal surgery.
 
Required Experience: Graduate or Registered Nurse (BSN) with one year of
medical/ surgical, telemetry, critical care, and/or maternal child health experience preferred

Maternity

Main 9–Harrisburg Campus
This 39-bed unit consists of all private rooms and two isolation rooms with negative pressure capabilities. Nursing care is provided for postpartum patients and newborn clientele. The newborn nursery is located central to the unit to facilitate optimal mother/infant care.

Required Experience: Graduate or Registered Nurse with a BSN

Women’s Inpatient

North 9–Harrisburg Campus
This 23-bed unit provides services to patients who require intervention for gynecological and antepartum care. The most frequent diagnoses of patients admitted to the unit consist of gynecological surgery, high risk antepartum
patients, breast surgeries and general surgery. Admissions unique to this unit are stable antepartum patients; registered nurses receive specialized training in fetal monitoring. In addition, the unit will treat and manage care for a variety of medical and surgical patients requiring acute care services as directed by their physicians.

Pediatrics

North 9–Harrisburg Campus
This 18-bed unit provides services to acute, chronic and critically ill patients from birth through 18 years of age. Patients hospitalized in this unit may experience a wide range of medical surgical problems including cystic fibrosis, general surgery, and trauma. Child abuse cases also are admitted to this unit.
