PinnacleHealth offers a wide variety of programs and services to the communities in Dauphin, Perry, York and Cumberland counties.
Eat Smart, Play Smart. PinnacleHealth’s Eat Smart, Play Smart program is a weight management program for overweight children and their parents. Classes are hosted on the east and west shores and meet once a week for eight weeks. It is a fun-filled program that helps overweight children ages 6-14 (and their parents) become healthy.
Cribs for Kids®. The Cribs for Kids program is a national initiative to promote safe sleep practices for infants. A gift from PNC enabled PinnacleHealth to take part in this program and provide free cribs and educational material to infant patients and families within the health system identified by providers.
SMILES. Working in partnership with the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, PinnacleHealth provides access to urgent dental care for underinsured or uninsured patients..
Girls on the Run®. Girls on the Run is a life-changing character development program for girls in third through eighth grade. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
Mission Effectiveness Consulting Services. PinnacleHealth Mission Effectiveness Consulting Services is designed to help organizations build community health infrastructures for conducting community health needs assessments; implement comprehensive community benefit tracking protocols; and develop evidence-based and measurable community health implementation plans and strategies.
Nurse-Family Partnership. Some low-income, first-time mothers require extra help and support during their pregnancies and the first years of their children’s lives. To help vulnerable, at-risk families in our area, PinnacleHealth’s Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Program provides support, education and counseling on health, behavioral and self-sufficiency issues for new mothers. This voluntary program provides guidance to help ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
