achieved the Stage 6 designation of the HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adoption Model, placing PinnacleHealth among the top five percent of healthcare systems in the United States. Stage 6 designation honors PinnacleHealth’s work to implement technology solutions that have the ability to improve patient safety and quality of care.
As one of only 344 hospitals in the World to hold Stage 6 designation, the award represents success in the Electronic Medical Records Adoption ModelSM
(EMRAM), which is used to track EMR progress at hospitals and health systems. According to HIMSS reaching Stage 6 is a result of focus, good direction and a steadfast commitment from leadership. Stage 6 institutions have established clear goals for improving safety, minimizing errors, and prioritizing IT implementations.
