PinnacleHealth Breast Care is hosting an community open house Thursday, December 12, 5-7:30 p.m. at the new office at the Belvedere Medical Center, 850 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle. The office expanded access to the PinnacleHealth Breast Care Center
, a member of an elite group of breast care centers accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
PinnacleHealth Breast Surgeon Katherine Barton, MD, FACS
, provides patients with the highest quality, comprehensive, contemporary diagnosis and treatment for both cancerous and noncancerous breast conditions, including high-risk counseling. The high risk clinic is for any patient concerned about their risk in developing breast cancer. During this consultation, patients will meet with a risk assessment nurse to review the family history and can provide genetic testing if applicable. The consult also includes an exam and evaluation by a breast surgeon or nurse practitioner and assistance from a nurse navigator.
The team includes board-certified breast surgeons
Lisa Torp, MD, FACS, Brynn Wolff, MD and Katherine Barton, MD, FACS, Peggy Hummel, CRNP, and Cecily Lamb, nurse navigator. They provide special attention to individual diagnosis and tailor treatment plans to provide the best clinical and cosmetic outcome possible.
