Is it OK to incorporate spices into meals for a 9 month old? And will she reject the food due to the spice's flavor? Nothing unusual, but for example, cinnamon on sweet potatoes, or seasoning on fish?

hey there-
I have to tell you that my daughter actually really liked foods that were prepared with different spices, I think she liked them better with spices than plain. Of course nothing spicy, but she liked cinnamon on a lot of things, I've used lemongrass and tarragon on meats/fish before, garlic on an italian dish....so I would say definitely try to introduce spices that will make the foods tastier, but introduce them gradually!

Totally! My little girl favored foods cooked with spices... but of course nothing spicy. However, I did notice that I had to be careful when adding spices to hot (temperature) foods because for young children the hot temperature increases the richness of the spice's flavor and they may not like it.
