We offer a full range of treatment options to address any level of related injury, from a sprained ankle to an ACL tear. We will work with you to design the best treatment plan to fit your needs, from preventative and non-surgical steps, to highly advanced surgical procedures.
Treatment options available include:
Concussion Management. PinnacleHealth Sports Medicine Center uses a comprehensive approach to concussion management. The use of neurocognitive testing, comprehensive physician evaluation and input from all medical providers involved in the care of the concussed patient are factored in when determining the plan of care and return to activity. The safety of the patient/athlete is the priority when dealing with concussions. We are a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC) and our staff has undergone specialized ImPACT training to offer state-of-the-art concussion care management to our patients. CICs are part of ImPACT’s national network of hundreds of healthcare providers who are leaders in clinical concussion care within their communities.
Medications. To address issues such as inflammation or pain, your physician may prescribe any number of medications, singularly or in combination. Among the options available are NSAIDS, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which include aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or nabumetone. Muscle relaxants may also be prescribed as a short term solution for muscle spasms. For severe pain, narcotics may be prescribed for a limited time period.
Physical Therapy. Using exercises, stretches, and specialized techniques and equipment, our licensed physical therapists can help you regain strength and range of motion in your joints and muscles.
Pain Management. Our Interventional Pain Management and Rehab Options clinics offer treatments for both acute and chronic pain issues. Our specialists will work with you to determine which option will provide the best path to recovery . Treatment options may include medications, epidural steroids, trigger point injections, or cortisone injections.
Orthopedic Surgery. Our highly trained surgeons use the latest in advanced technology to perform minimally invasive procedures ranging from joint repair to total joint replacement.
