Free HIV Testing

The PinnacleHealth Resource Education and Comprehensive Care for HIV (REACCH) Program in Harrisburg provides free, confidential HIV testing for anyone in the Central PA area.

More than 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV infection, and about 1 in 5 are unaware they have the infection. Therefore, the US Preventive Services Task Force now recommends that all adults receive HIV screening, regardless of risk factors.

About the Free HIV Test:

  • Walk-ins are welcome Monday- Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., but to reduce waiting times an appointment is recommended. To learn more or make an appointment, call REACCH at (717) 782-2750.
  • The screening test is a quick blood test, performed by a skilled nurse.
  • Confirmed results will be available to the patient in less than a week, and a nurse will confidentially contact the person to arrange to deliver results.
  • Testing is a perfectly appropriate time to ask questions of our skilled nursing team about anything related to HIV.
