Balance and Vestibular Center
PinnacleHealth’s Balance and Vestibular Center provides a therapeutic program to manage the effects of dizziness and loss of balance to improve function and prevent falls.
Dizziness is the most common warning sign leading up to a loss of balance or falling.Taking action is critical when considering that falls and fall-related injuries are one of the leading causes of death for men and women over age 65 in the United States. Two-thirds of people over the age of 65 who fall require medical attention.

- Dizziness
- Frequent falls
- Inner ear problems
- Meniere’s disease
- Migraine disease
- Multiple Sclerosis

- Peripheral neuropathy
- Post-concussive syndrome
- Post-stroke/CVA
- Symptoms of dizziness
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Vertigo
- Vestibular disorders

Our physical therapists are specially trained with 8 to 20 years of experience in neurological, balance and vestibular therapy.
Evaluation/Treatment
We provide a complete evaluation focusing on:
- Functional mobility
- Range of motion
- Specialized balance testing including posturography
- Strength
- Vestibular assessment
Treatments
An individualized treatment program is developed based on your problems and symptom complaints and may include:
- Adaptation exercises
- Epley maneuvers for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
- Functional mobility training
- Habituation exercises
- Home exercise
- Patient/family education
- Sensorimotor training
- Visual exercise
- Visual/perceptual retraining
