Approval with Commendation by the Commission on Cancer (CoC)—As a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center, PinnacleHealth was awarded three-year approval by having voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality cancer care and undergoing a rigorous evaluation process and performance review.

PinnacleHealth’s efforts toward eliminating hospital-acquired infections are showing success. Infections that patients acquire during their hospital stay must be reported to the PA Department of Health. Of the more than 250 hospitals in Pennsylvania, PinnacleHealth is one of only 16 that beat the target rates defined by the state. No other hospital in the region was included among the 16.

2011 Top Performer Award—The Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital has ranked in the top 10 percent of 797 rehabilitation facilities in the country in the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation.

Accredited Chest Pain Center—This accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers was awarded for providing state-of-the-art care during the critical window of time for heart attack patients.
