A quick and correct response in treating the symptoms of a stroke yields the best opportunity for a full recovery. PinnacleHealth’s highly trained emergency services professionals immediately administer the most up to date treatments for stroke patients to minimize potentially debilitating long term effects.

Our home-like inpatient setting plays a critical role, providing each patient with immediate access to PinnacleHealth’s full rehabilitative resources, while providing an environment designed to support the challenges of recovery.
Unique features include:
- Indoor and outdoor therapeutic gardens

The Care Team
Many specialized departments within PinnacleHealth come together to provide each patient with the care and services needed to recover from a stroke. Physicians and nurses who specialize in neurology, emergency and rehabilitative medicine as well as psychiatrists, certified rehab nurses, physical and occupational therapists and therapeutic recreation specialists will plan and coordinate your treatment.
To keep you informed and organized, personal case managers help oversee each patient’s treatment plan logistics. In addition to their expertise, these caring professionals act as a source of support and encouragement for our patients and their families throughout recovery.
Education and Support
Patient education is key in preventing future strokes and to achieving the fullest recovery possible. To that end, PinnacleHealth offers an on-site support group which provides additional information, as well as a chance to talk with others who are recovering from stroke.
